My online courses

Why online courses?

My online courses aren't meant to replace high quality training classes. I've designed them so that...
  • New owners can be prepared with all the crucial information before they collect their new puppy or dog, or at least before the dog is ready to attend a class.
  • People who can't get to high quality training don't miss out.
  • Those who attend classes, can have information and exercises to work on in between.

Online courses are

Accessible

Online courses can be followed anywhere, anytime and on any device (though a tablet or computer work best). You can return to them as often as you like.

High Quality

Within each course you will find lots of information, downloadable resources,  videos and exercises. There's also a certificate of completion for every course.

Practical

The courses have been designed to meet the needs of both first time owners and more experienced handlers.  They contain stacks of exercises and practical tips.

Affordable

All courses can be accessed by all members of the family and you can return to the course as many times as you like, making them a very affordable way of training.

Courses in the pipeline

These courses will be coming soon!

No-buts Recall

Reliable, no-buts recall is the most important thing on a walk (dare I say more important than heel!) I want to help you and your dogs enjoy happy, relaxing and calm walks by developing watertight recall in all situations.

Steps to successful heel

Heel is a key foundation for me in all training but it may surprise you to know it's got nothing to do with the lead or pulling. It's all about focus on you (and that leg!)

Stay, steadiness and settle: the art of doing nothing!

This course is about doing nothing but when nothing is the hardest thing for our dogs to do!  Developing the dog's self control (because believe me you can't make a dog stay!)

Troubleshooting

Will your dog not get in the car? Does your dog run up to and jump all over people? Is a rough mouth the issue? Got a dog who likes to steal shoes or plays keep away when you want to put the lead on? This course is for you!

Stop!

This course will teach you how to start your stop whistle and take you all the way through to advanced stop whistle exercises. With a range of games and exercises, we keep it fun, positive and practical all the way.

Marks & Memories

We will explore why we have different types of retrieves and what they mean in terms of training. Exercises will break these retrieves down and then build them back again to ensure success every time!

Brilliant Blinds

Blind retrieves are all about a trusting partnership with you and your dog working together to achieve the retrieve. We will look at how to develop the trust, confidence and teamwork needed for blindingly good blinds!

Help to Handle

This course will enable you to teach your dog to understand and be confident with left, right and back handles (also known as casts). Packed with stacks of exercises and videos, this course will support you to teach rock solid handles.

Hunting & Holding

While humans have approximately 5 to 6 million olfactory receptors, dogs have an astounding 125 to 300 million. How do we harness that and teach them to hold an area and hunt? This course will walk you through it all.

Kind words people have said about my training

I struck gold when I came to my first class with you. I look forward to every session, knowing that I always leave it as a slightly better handler! Having your support to build my relationship with my dogs has given me a new-found confidence, understanding and patience. This has led to precious light bulb moments when it all comes together.

You are a careful, kind and thoughtful trainer. Without your classes I'd have given up gundog training a couple of years ago.
JUSTINA
You have a natural teaching talent and I have been so lucky to have you nearby to provide training for my litters in their new homes.
